The new school building was inaugurated on 22 August 2014.
Our school is an integrative all-day school for students of the year 7 to 10 which means that there is an achievement oriented differentiation in courses in the main subjects. Approximately 350 students learn in classes of 26 to 28 boys and girls.
The classrooms are bright and furnished with small tables which can be easily reorganized. A smart board is a standard in most of the rooms, Additionally, we have a computer cabinet with 25 workplaces and a media room with additional 10 computers. Suitcases with tablets on each floor can be used flexibly in different rooms.
Science subjects like physics or chemistry are taught in special cabinets with modern equipment.
In year 7 students can choose an elective, e.g. Work&Technology, Science or Russian. Electives can be seen as special qualification for their future jobs.
On Tuesdays, students can join an after-school activity like the chess club, dancing, sports and others.
We grow food in our school garden and use the harvest in our school kitchen.
Career guidance plays an important role in our curriculum. Students gain practical experience in different internships. They spend a week exploring several crafts jobs in year 7 and 8. In year 9 they work in a company they select for three weeks and write a home paper about their experience. As they get certificates, the work experience can be really useful for the students' future applications.
Students at our school can get different graduations according to their achievements.
Our social worker always supports our students in their sometimes demanding day-to-day life.
